Brother Bishara is currently a senior at Pepperdine University, where he is completing his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He will be beginning graduate school in the Fall of 2022 to earn a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on the unique psychological condition of postcolonial Africans across the diaspora.

He was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Upsilon Chi chapter on March 14, 2020. He served as the Upsilon Chi Chapter President in 2020 and was granted an honorary award for Fraternity Man of the Year at Pepperdine University, while leading the chapter to its first Fraternity Chapter of the Year Award at Pepperdine. 

Brother Bishara currently serves as Pepperdine University’s Student Fellow for Faith and Justice, a title he earned after being the school’s Student Government Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion the year prior. Within his current role, Brother Bishara conducts research to assess the experience of underrepresented students and works with top university staff to implement initiatives that foster an equitable campus environment. He intends to leverage his experience and passion for justice to orient Alpha West towards sustainable, reciprocal service of communities that have been victimized by systemic racism and class antagonism.
